Sales — appointment setter and/or closer

Run inbound and outbound for the firm. Set appointments, close them, or both. Recurring monthly commission on every retainer you bring in, paid for the lifetime of the client.

Engagement type

This is a contract role. Other seats at the firm open as full-time when the work calls for it; the engagement type is stated plainly on every role page.

What you'd own

Filling the firm's pipeline and turning the right ones into clients. The seat is intentionally flexible — we'll bring on an appointment setter, a closer, or one person who does both, depending on the experience you bring.

  • As an appointment setter: outbound on lists we provide, inbound triage from website forms, qualifying calls, and getting the right prospects onto the discovery calendar.
  • As a closer: running discovery calls, scoping engagements, handling pricing conversations, sending agreements, and getting the first payment cleared.
  • As both: the full cycle from cold to closed, with quota and commission to match.

You operate inside the firm's playbook — pricing tiers, scoping rules, ICP definitions, qualification criteria — not freelance against your own pitch. Every deal is the firm's deal; every client is the firm's client.

The bar

  • You can point to revenue you've actually closed, not just deals you helped on. Ranges and timeframes — we read carefully.
  • You're fluent in English with clear, easy-to-follow spoken communication on calls. Prospects shouldn't have to work to understand you; friction on the call kills the conversation before the offer can even surface. Comfortable on the phone, on Zoom, and in writing — quick, clear, not pushy.
  • You've sold a service or a recurring product before, ideally B2B. Selling marketing or agency services is a strong plus, not a hard requirement if the rest of the bar is met.
  • You can read a brief and qualify without being micromanaged. We'll equip you with talk tracks, objection notes, and the ICP — you bring the judgment to use them.
  • You stay organized in a CRM without us having to chase you for updates.

Compensation

Recurring monthly commission on every retainer you close, paid for the lifetime of the client with the firm. When the client renews, you keep getting paid. When they upgrade tiers, your commission scales with them.

  • Retainer engagements — recurring monthly percentage of the retainer fee, set against the engagement tier. Specifics shared on the kickoff conversation; the structure is built so a high-performing closer earns well above what a fixed salary would carry at this stage.
  • Project work — accounts audits, brand identity engagements, and website builds carry a one-time commission paid at close. Specific structure detailed at kickoff.
  • No salary, no draw, no cap. Commission only. The upside is uncapped; so is the responsibility for filling your own pipeline once we've handed off the lists, materials, and ICP.

We pay commissions on the standard cycle once the client's payment clears with the firm.

How this role runs

You operate inside the firm with real authority — not as a third-party vendor at arm’s length. Your work is the firm’s work, on the firm’s playbook, with a defined slice you own outright.
