What you'd own
The front of the pipeline. You call businesses that fit the firm's profile, get the owner or decision-maker on the phone, qualify them, and book the discovery call. From there, two ways to run the seat:
- Set and close. You run the discovery call yourself, scope the engagement against our pricing, handle the pricing conversation, send the agreement, and get the first payment cleared. This is the version we prefer.
- Set for the founder. You book the discovery call onto the founder's calendar with a clean handoff note, and he closes it. Your commission is set accordingly.
Cold calling is the primary motion. Email and LinkedIn follow-up support it; they don't replace it. You work inside the firm's playbook (pricing tiers, scoping rules, the client profile, qualification criteria), not against your own pitch. Every deal is the firm's deal; every client is the firm's client.
We are bringing on two or three people for this seat. If you have the experience below, we'd like to hear from you.
The bar
- You are in the United States and legally able to work here.
- You have sold over the phone before and can point to deals you closed, not deals you helped on. Give ranges and timeframes; we read carefully.
- You are comfortable opening a cold call, handling the objections that follow, and asking for the meeting or the sale.
- You can learn our service offerings quickly (paid media, conversion design, performance creative, websites, brand identity) well enough to answer a prospect's second question, not just the first.
- You keep us informed. On the days you work, you send a short update: calls made, conversations had, meetings booked, what you learned. Daily, in writing, without being chased.
- You run your own seat. This is a contractor role: you set your hours, your list discipline, and your pace, and the output is what we measure.
- Fluent English, clear on the phone. A prospect should never have to work to understand you.
Compensation
Commission only for the first two to four months, depending on performance. The structure after that is set with you against your results.
- Retainer engagements: a percentage of every retainer payment for the first twelve months the client stays with the firm. A client who stays the year pays you twelve times.
- Annual agreements: a one-time commission on the annual fee when the client pays for the year up front.
- No cap. More retainers closed, more paid out.
We share the exact percentages on the first call. They are set so that a closer who lands a handful of retainers a month earns well, and so that the setter-only version of the seat is worth doing. Commissions are paid on the standard cycle once the client's payment clears with the firm.
How to apply
Use the form linked below. For this seat, a phone number and a LinkedIn profile are required; we call before we email. Write the application yourself, without AI. We compare how you write here with how you speak on the first call, and a mismatch is the fastest no.
